Last week, Steve and I picked the song that I'll walk down the aisle to. We walked home from the subway arm in arm with one ear-bud in his ear and the other in mine, listening to the lyrics and just imagining. Yesterday, we picked out wedding bands. We also had an epiphany about a concept/theme-of-sorts for our wedding. And today, I had my first wedding dress appointment...and bought a dress.* I definitely wasn't expecting to find "the one" this early in the game, and especially not at my first appointment, but I have. And I'm really happy!
I know that there's a lot of time and a lot to do between now and 10.11.10 but I hope to have many more days like these, when things just fall into place, when I can actually picture our wedding day, when I can feel excited and not stressed about what's to come, and when I can feel like a bride!

Congratulations on finding your dress and picking a song! It's good that you've started your planning early. I talk with too many stressed out brides who end up waiting until the last minute.
