I'm Alive!

I survived the big move to our new apartment! We were SO lucky that our moving date was this past Wednesday. Here in NYC, it rained on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday it was just cloudy and a little misty, which didn't prevent the movers from doing a stellar job. Then yesterday, it started to snow, and it's been snowing ever since! When I walked out of the apartment this morning, I had to trek through this to get to the subway:

The unfortunate thing about the snow is that we had a furniture delivery scheduled for today but now it has to be rescheduled. Oh well. We've gotten a lot of unpacking done already though and I'm really excited about our new space. Steve and I are both really into interior design so I think I'll share some pics of the apartment when we're done putting everything together, and maybe even in the process. Who doesn't love a good before and after? I love seeing pics of other people's homes (which is why I'm obsessed with blogs like Young House Love) so I'd love to give you a virtual tour at some point. Stay tuned!

Meanwhile now that we are getting settled in, I can start blogging again! Last weekend my MOH and I went shoe shopping for both of our weddings so I can share the deets about that. I also received an email from a lovely reader asking for a tutorial on embedding an image into an email. I'm putting together step-by-step instructions with photos so look out for that post if you're considering emailing your save-the-dates like we did, or are just curious about how it works.
