Something we've considered is having our rehearsal dinner in Brooklyn. We weren't sure how it could work logistically, considering our wedding is during the day and we want to be in the hotel at our venue early the night before.
But I emailed with our DOC today and it's settled--we'll rehearse and have our dinner in our home city of Brooklyn two nights before the wedding. This way, we can have a relaxed rehearsal and dinner, and then the day before the wedding, we can get last-minute things done and settle into the hotel early. We still have to figure out what restaurant to book, but we've found some great contenders close to our apartment. I'm really excited about this. It'll be so nice to share a celebratory meal with our families and wedding party in the city we love and have called home for the past few years.

Sounds nice! I love that picture. You are getting so close!
ReplyDeleteSO glad you found something that is making you excited :)
ReplyDeleteOoh what is your venue? I'm dying to know! Having the rehearsal dinner there sounds perfect because your loved ones still get the Brooklyn feel!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great plan! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I could have sworn I looked for your blog before but didn't find it. I just assumed you didn't have one. I just decided to click on your name again from a comment on someone's blog and found it. I'm now your newest follower. Please feel free to visit my blog and follow if you like. I too am in NY. Bronx to be exact.
ReplyDeleteWe nixxed a NY wedding too because the prices are just insane. We couldn't swing it.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - the title of this post is great & totally made me go "HAH!" outloud at my desk. Alone. Teensy bit embarrasing. LOL
Did you take that picture? I'm thinkin' it's a professional photo, no?
ReplyDelete@jaimendola: It's definitely a professional pic. I wish I had those skills! The source is under the photo.
