And They're Off!

Finally, after months of designing, printing, addressing and stamping, we mailed our invitations this morning! We brought a box of 96 invitations to the post office and sent them off. It was a pretty straightforward process--we handed the box to the lady at the counter, paid a little extra postage for one invite going abroad, and that's it. The post office lady was really sweet. First of all, she couldn't believe we were old enough to get married. I think she said I looked like a 12-year old and Steve looked 19. Gee, thanks! But then she gave us some marriage advice, like always communicate and never go to bed angry. Ha. When I asked her about hand-canceling, she said we didn't need to worry about it. Our envelopes are pretty thin (and actually only needed one 44-cent stamp each) and she also said that the machines they use now won't damage them. Whatever. We didn't feel like going through the process so we took her word for it!

I'm just so happy we're done!

I'll do a big reveal this week once I know our guests have received them, but in the meantime, here's a sneak peek:

Now Steve and I are going to go outside and enjoy the nice weather. Have a great weekend!
