Hair-spiration
I have a hair trial appointment this Friday with a "friendor" (friend/vendor) who's a hair stylist. To prepare, I've looked up some inspiration photos to show him. What I really want is a side-swept loose low bun/chignon. My hair is really wavy and curly (see the pictures of me in my last post) and I'd like the waves/curls to be prominent.
I bought this hair flower from Silver Pencil's Etsy shop. (Steve--don't click the link if you want to be surprised!) I don't think it'll be here in time for my trial but I want it to be positioned like the above photos. I'm excited to see how the trial goes and I'll take pictures!

I love this look! :)
ReplyDeletegorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous style! I esp. love Taylor Swift and Michelle Williams' hair!
ReplyDeleteI love your inspiration pictures! Can't wait to see how your trial goes!
ReplyDeleteLove your hair-spiration! You have selected similar looks to what I am envisioning for my hair, but I'm not sure I have enough hair to pull it off! My stylist is a friendor as well. Can't wait to see your results!
ReplyDeleteYeeees. I think this will look great, especially Taylor Swift's, since you can see the texture of her hair. If I lose my resolve to wear my hair down, I'm going to do something like this. I had a "trial" of my own last week, and figured I can make it work if I have to!
ReplyDeleteThese examples are beatiful, and I love hair flowers! I almost went with one myself instead of my headband.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! Great minds think alike. I got my hair flower from etsy too but a diff vendor. I have that #1 pic on the bottom (from Proj wedding) as inspiration too. I LOOOVE the chignons with curls - it looks so perfect & flowy but my hair will never hold it. Can't wait to see yours. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love love LOVE the middle picture in the bottom collage! That's going in my inspiration folder--just gorgeous! :) Can't wait to see how your trial turns out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips on the inspiration board...I've been trying to figure out how to make some.
ReplyDeleteI love all these photos and your ideas. I think it will be beautiful for sure! I originally wanted to change my hair from the down version I had during photos and ceremony to a side swept low bun during the reception but it didn't end up becoming a priority for me. Wish I would have done it because I love this look!
I just stumbled across your site. Lovely hair-do ideas! I love that you are having your wedding on a Monday! I wanted to choose 8-9-10 for our wedding but figured a Monday might be to hard. We almost went 10-10-10 but that was a Sunday, again, very hard in my opinion, so we chose 9-4-10, my grandparents anniversary. Love the hair ideas though! I want curls in mine and my hair is part naturally curly, yeah don't ask :)
