Bachelorette Weekend! (part two)

When I left off, the girls and I were just about to leave the restaurant where we'd had a fabulous dinner. We started walking to our next destination, which was still a surprise to me. We stopped near Times Square outside of what looked like a club, with a bouncer and all. Once we got in line to enter, I realized what we were in for...

Karaoke!!

We were at Pulse Karaoke Lounge, which is advertised as "New York’s premiere and most upscale karaoke venue." It was very swanky inside.

It's no secret to my friends that I love to sing. I've done lots of musical theater, was part of singing/a cappella groups in high school and college, and I'm always seeing Broadway shows. One of my favorite series is Glee and I'm always singing along to music on the radio. This was the absolute perfect activity for my bachelorette party and I'm so happy MOH L incorporated it into the weekend!

When we got inside, we were escorted to our private room, which looked like our own little club, with colorful lights flashing everywhere.

Our room reservation came with carafes of alcohol with mixers so we poured ourselves drinks and got to singing! (All of the following pics are personal photos)

Selecting songs...

Of course "Don't Stop Believing" was on the list!

"I'm a genie in a bottle..."

"Don't go chasing waterfalls..."

Really into our rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" :)

"Yeaaaaah...it's a party in the U-S-A!"

We had a BLAST and our two hours went by really fast. I had the best time and I didn't want the night to end!

That was our last stop of the night. We left the karaoke place around 2am and the five of us staying at the hotel walked back. Everyone else headed to their homes in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and would meet us again the next day.

The next morning...

Our group met for a yummy brunch at Jane, a restaurant in Greenwich Village. This time I wore a "bride" tank top that was included in my bag o' goodies, along with the same tiara/veil from the night before.

Cheers!

We had so much fun at brunch and it was a good start to the day. But there was more! MOH L had one more awesome surprise activity planned...

Next up: the final chapter of my bachelorette weekend. Stay tuned!

  1. Oh my gosh, I LOVE karaoke! My fiance and I went to a karaoke bar the first night we met, though it was nowhere near as nice as this one. If you feel like hitting up a great karaoke bar when you are out here, I suggest "Mint" in the Castro - the people who sing take it really seriously and it's awesome to just sit and watch, or get up and sing if you think you measure up :) Can't wait to read Part 3!

  2. It looks like so much fun! I love to sing on my own but have never had the guts to try karaoke. Maybe I should give it a chance one of these days.

  3. Awww! That looked like so much fun. What a neat place! Looked like a night club, but private and you can't go wrong with some Karaoke! Glad you had a great time!

  4. The terms "upscale" and "karaoke" seem like a perfect mismatch to me...which also makes it seem like pure awesomeness! How fun! Looks like you really had a great weekend.

  5. So fun! I would have to be really really REALLY drunk to sing "I Dreamed a Dream" in public - it makes me cry every.single.time.
