We made a bunch of purchases this week, including card stock from Paper Source (we're going with the recycled eco-white A7 cards*), envelopes from Cards & Pockets (in a yummy cranberry color), a Crop-a-Dile Corner Chopper to create pretty rounded corners, and this return address rubber stamp:
from Sugar Letter's Etsy ShopWe still have a few things left to buy, like RSVP/insert card stock and envelopes (also coming from Paper Source's eco-white line), ink for our return address stamp, and labels for our envelopes. I'm planning to use Born to be Mrs. Beever's label tutorial because sadly, calligraphy isn't in our budget and the labels are really cute. Oh, and we must get stamps at some point, once we know how much postage we'll need. And since we're not doing inner envelopes, I need something to tie all the pieces together. Maybe this lemony yellow baker's twine?
I'm getting excited! I can't for everything to deliver so we can print the invites and put it all together.

Very exciting! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! So excited to read about your forays into DIYdom.
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo, so exciting! I can't wait to see your end results. And guess what? We got our printer yesterday (the same one you two bought). We did a test run and I LOVE it :) Thanks for a great recommendation!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's so great that you're doing green invites . . . in retrospect, we should have done that, too. Maybe for the programs!
Oh i'm so excited for you. Every time I hear about a DIY project, I just get so excited. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Maybe I need to get a more exciting life. Ya think?
ReplyDelete@PartyPlannerGal: So glad you like the printer! I'll let you know how we like the eco-paper from Paper Source, in case you want to use it for your programs. It's not too late to make something green :o)
ReplyDelete@JEM: Haha, I'm the same way so don't even worry about it. I'm always excited to see what other people DIY!
I am so pumped to see how your invites turn out!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the stamp; I saved the link to that shop.
ReplyDeleteI adore this stamp. And you'll be able to use it after which will be nice.
ReplyDeleteP.s. Thanks for your comment over on my blog yesterday. Meant a lot. x
