Our Cran-Lemon Wedding: Take it away, Stevie

Before the wedding, my dad told me he wanted to choose what song we danced to, and he wanted it to be a surprise. I put him in touch with our DJ so he could request the song. When it came time to dance together after Steve and I cut our cake, I was pleasantly surprised to hear "As" by Stevie Wonder.

As around the sun the earth knows she's revolving
And the rosebuds know to bloom in early May

My dad sang the lyrics to me as we danced. :)



I'm an only child so it was a special moment between my dad and me.

One funny thing about the fact that my dad chose this song is that the song Steve danced to with his mom (which Steve chose) was also by Stevie Wonder. They danced to "You are the Sunshine of my Life."

You are the sunshine of my life

That's why I'll always be around

You are the apple of my eye,

Forever you'll stay in my heart

Steve's the oldest of two so his mom was really emotional throughout the day. This was also a very special moment between them.
