Steve's wedding band
Engagement photo shoot (which we should hopefully receive in the next few days, and I can't wait to show you!)

To Do:
By the end of this year (which is just 6 weeks away...crazy!) we need to have done the following:

1. Finish our wedding website. We are designing it from scratch using the iWeb program on Steve's Mac, and it has actually been a smooth process. If anyone has a Mac and is considering designing their own website, I would recommend iWeb. It's really user-friendly and you can customize it to your heart's content. We were going to go with one of the wedding website companies out there but I'm glad we're making it on our own. We're about 60% done; we just need our engagement pics to finish the rest of the designing and have to fill in some other information for our guests. I'll show you screen shots when it's done!

2. Create and mail save-the-dates. You've heard the story behind our unconventional wedding date, so we want to make sure our guests have extremely advance notice so if they have to take a day off from work, they can start planning to do so at the start of 2010. We're waiting on our engagement pics because we definitely want to include one on our save-the-date (this is me NOT referring it to an STD, ha.) We'll be DIYing these and we have something pretty simple in mind. I'll explain more and show you my inspiration in my next post!

Fellow brides: what are you hoping to get done by the end of 2009?

  1. Ugh. Caterer and photographer. We need to do caterer first so we know how much we are spending, so we know how much is left for photography.
We also need to finish off our Save the Dates to hand out over Thanksgiving so we don't have to pay $2 to mail them.
